Fat Bombs

We've made appetizers with all kinds of flavors, from spicy and bold, to salty and savory!  Now it's time for a sweet treat to top off your Super Bowl party in Keto-style.  Rather than doing something carb-filled like cookies or cupcakes, you know that just about everyone will enjoy a chocolatey dessert - and a perfect high-fat, low-carb option for you is FAT BOMBS.  These babies pack a high fat content, which is perfect if you're trying to stay in ketosis this Sunday.  The cocoa powder gives you a ton of flavor and the fats come from the rest of the ingredients to give it substance and sustenance.  Add some Keto-friendly sweetener like Stevia and you're good to go.

This version of Fat Bombs is very basic, but there's a reason why America's #1 chocolate candy favorite is M&M's - it's simple and always delicious.  Since M&M's are too sugary for this way of eating, Fat Bombs are a great replacement.  For someone like me who has a pretty big sweet tooth and used to love chocolate and suckers, these give me the best of both worlds.  I taste the rich chocolate flavor and texture, and when frozen - Fat Bombs can almost be a chocolate lollipop that melts slowly in your mouth.  It's a great way to get some extra fat into your system for fuel and enjoy a sweet treat in the meantime!

  • 8 Tbsp. Coconut Oil
  • 8 Tbsp. Coconut Butter
  • 6 Tbsp.  Pure Cocoa Powder
  • 6 Tbsp. Butter
  • Stevia, to taste

These ingredient quantities will give you about 20 Fat Bombs when poured into a mini muffin tray.  If you need a smaller personal batch, feel free to half the recipe measurements and you'll end up with 10 instead!  Or, if you're prepping for a longer period of time or multiple snackers - double or even triple the recipe for the quantity you need.  The measurements are super easy to remember too!
